Project
Casa Tohatin
The "Casa Tohatin" project represents a single-family home situated on a hill with panoramic views of Chișinău. The design is conceived to maximize natural light and integration with nature through glazed facades and wooden finishes. The covered terrace and green atrium add aesthetic and functional value, creating a seamless connection with the surrounding landscape.
The building’s facades are finished with wooden slats, adding a warm and contemporary character, harmoniously blending into the natural surroundings. The project includes a generous terrace covered with a modern canopy, featuring an atrium that houses a green area. This solution not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also creates a direct connection with nature, increasing residents’ comfort and emphasizing quality of life.

The house is organized on a single level, offering an optimal functional flow:
Day zone: Open living room and modern kitchen, with glazed spaces for a visual connection to the landscape.
Night zone: Two bedrooms and an office, each with direct access to the garden. Elegant bathrooms tailored for everyday comfort.
Outdoor spaces: Covered terrace, central green atrium, and landscaped garden. Relaxation area and outdoor dining space.

The house design is distinguished by a contemporary architectural style, characterized by clean lines and balanced geometric volumes. The facades are finished with natural wood panels, combined with structural glass, creating a visual interplay between organic textures and modern surfaces. Large windows allow abundant natural light and provide wide views of the garden. Elements such as wooden pergolas and subtle metal panels add visual depth, while premium finishes emphasize the residence’s sophisticated character. The landscaping integrates native vegetation and paved paths, highlighting the connection between architecture and nature.

The project is based on an architectural concept centered on continuity between interior and exterior. Simple volumetry and natural materials support a modern aesthetic focused on sustainability and energy efficiency. The house structure is organized around an interior courtyard, which serves as a green nucleus, ensuring natural light and ventilation. Covered terraces and large openings contribute to creating fluid transition areas between indoor spaces and the environment. The use of eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient technologies reflects the project’s commitment to sustainability and long-term comfort.

The project was executed with attention to detail and premium materials. Ventilated facades and the canopy provide thermal and aesthetic protection. The outdoor spaces, including the green atrium and covered terrace, are harmoniously integrated to create a relaxing and functional environment. The implementation reflects a balance between modern design and practical comfort.
